Strawberry Line Closure

On the 16th December 2025, the Strawberry Line shall be closed from 09:00 to 17:00 to all users between the Woodborough Road bridge and Winscombe sports club for essential Ash dieback work. The work is scheduled to take one day but may run into the 17th December.Ash Dieback is a disease with no cure; further information can be found by using the following link Ash dieback | North Somerset Council. We appreciate that these works will cause disruption to users of the line but they are necessary to prevent injuries. Further works between the sports club and the tunnel, and from the tunnel to the A38 are scheduled for January and end of March / early April 2026.
A map showing the location of the works and the diversion route can be found here. Due to the location of the works, it is not possible to ensure that the diversion is all on either footpaths or the pavement. Therefore, please take care when walking along The Lynch.
