New Cemetery Update

The next phase of work on the new cemetery project is commencing on Monday 12th August. It is the stage one work for the driveway and car park and will last for approx 3 weeks. It involves the digging out, levelling work and kerbing and a base layer of stone being installed.  Due to health and safety the footpath that goes through the cemetery field off Mendip Road will be closed for approx 3 weeks. I separate post will be done with the full details of the diversion route.

The allotments also have to be closed during the day while the work is going on but access will be allowed in the evenings and at weekends. All allotments holders have been informed.

The contractor will be on site Monday - Friday from 8.00 am till 6.00 pm.
