North Somerset Council Mobile Library Service Update

Published: 12 October 2021

North Somerset Council Mobile Library Service Update.
We are very happy to say that a full Mobile Library service has resumed as of Monday 11 October.
To keep our staff and customers as safe and enable as many people as possible to use the service, we ask for your continued co-operation with regards to Covid precautions:
• Please continue to wear a mask on board (unless medically exempt)
• Please use the hand sanitiser provided on boarding the vehicle
• Please continue to respect staff and other library users’ space, including waiting until told it is safe to board if necessary
We would like to thank our customers for the patience and understanding they have shown in recent months during what has been a difficult period for our team. As many of you know, our regular driver has been on long term sick leave and it has not been possible to provide a full-time replacement service. We are very pleased to say that he is now ready to return to work.
The mobile library will be off the road from Monday 25 October to Friday 29 October 2021 for previously scheduled maintenance. This maintenance is time sensitive and so it was not possible to carry it out during the previous period of disruption. We will not be providing an alternative form of service delivery, including doorstep home deliveries, during this time.
If you would like more information on the mobile library service, please do not hesitate to contact us. The timetable can be found here: https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/.../bringing.../mobile-library.
