Yatton Parish Council are active in representing and supporting residents of the Parish on a wide range of issues. Whilst the Parish Council has powers to make decisions on matters under its own responsibility, it has more limited power on matters under other organisations control, typically North Somerset Council. However, it does have the ability to negotiate with and to try and influence the final decisions that they make reflecting how the community feels on given subjects.
